Imagine It!

Hubby had the day off on Monday for MLK so we thought we would do something fun and different with Daughter. We decided to take her to the Imagine It! Children's Museum . Daughter had a blast! I put a slide show at the bottom and you'll notice that most of the pictures are of her backside because she just ran from thing to thing, completely in awe of this new environment. Right after we walked in and she was looking at everything, she kept saying, "Mommy, I cannot believe it", "Look at everything", and "Oh my goodness." It was wonderful to just let her run around, being as loud as she wanted, exploring everything. They had so many great things and everything is pretty much based around learning. Just to name a few of the things that they offer:

1. A couple of gardens to grow flowers and foods
2. John Deere area complete with foods and HUGE John Deere truck
3. Wall painting
4. A stage with dress up clothes
5. Sand pit area where the sand is thick enough to mold sculptures
6. Really big train table, complete with old fashioned wood trains
7. Tool stations
8. Foam block area to build
9. Kitchen and house
10. Food loading area complete with conveyor belt
11. Leap into learning, which was a magnetic fishing pond and tree house

And much more! Daughter's favorite was the Leap into learning section. In this section each child had to put on a (really cute) raincoat in order to fish. Let's just say that we went back to this section three times because Daughter loves nothing more than water activities. The museum is what I would consider a little pricey, but in the end, well worth it for the enjoyment she got out of it. We will definitely be going again on a rainy summer day, I'm sure.

After we left the museum, we took Daughter for her first trip to the Varsity! She did not really eat that much, but she really liked getting the hat and taking in her new environment.
