Daughter's 24 @ 24 months

It's the third day of the "Eight Days of Daughter", and after that last tear-enducing post, I've decided to go a little lighter and give you 24 things to know about Daughter at 24 months of age. (If you're just tuning in, go back a couple of posts to see the beginning of our Birthday Girl Countdown).

1. Her smile is great - I love the way she smiles at me when I walk into her room after naptime. It's as if she hasn't seen me in days.

2. Her laugh tickles me - She has this deep belly-laugh that cracks me up.

3. She loves Animals - She loves anything to do with animals: books, videos, stuffed animals, animals sounds, etc.

4. She loves the Telelphone - She always wants to talk to her family on the phone, she even walks into another room for privacy. I have horrid visions of future cell phone bills.

5. She's a Good Sleeper - She has been sleeping through the night since she was itty bitty.

6. She thinks she's bilingual - She says almost everything with some sort of accent. Car - Boston accent, Miss Sherry - French accent, Hey - True Souterner. And she certainly has her own versions of words, she currently believes her last name is pronouced Sillmiman.

7. Her Curly Hair - Because she runs everywhere, her hair bounces all the time.

8. Her Energy - God Bless her, she has got some energy. God should give extra energy to the parents of children who have the kind of energy this girl has. She is always rip-roaring ready to go.

9. Her Blue Eyes - I'm sure her Daddy will get worked over with those eyes a few times in the not so distant future.

10. She's a magpie - Careful what you say around her these days, because you will no doubt hear it come right back out of her mouth.

11. She is TALL - It is so strange to see my features on a tall person.

12. She talks..NONSTOP - I am not kidding. If she's awake, there is noise coming out of her mouth. Somewhat unnerving sometimes.

13. She gives kisses - If you ask for a kiss, she puckers up those cute little lips and leans on in.

14. She walks Dog- She has been regularly taking Dog for walks with Hubby's supervision. She even holds the leash herself and gives him a treat when they get back. And if Dog gets too out of control on his walk, she repremands him with, "NO DOG, SIT DOWN!"

15. She's got team spirit - She can officially say "Roll Tide" and "Go Jackets". Let the brainwashing begin!

16. She's a Daddy's Girl - All.The.Way! If her Daddy's in the house, you can bet she's right by his side.

17. She says, "I Wuv You" - Too cute.

18. She sings to her Saviour - "Your Gwace is Enough, Your Gwace is Enough."

19. She's tough - She can do a nose dive into the ground, get right back up and keep going. She can run into a wall, bounce off of it, look at the wall with an angry face (like she's giving it a piece of her mind) and keep moving.

20. She loves airplanes - Since a very young age, she can hear an airplane from four states away, I swear.

21. She loves her Binky - It took us a long time to find the right binky, but once we found the right one, it was love at first sight.

22. She loves the outdoors - Even if all she does is run around in circles she loves playing outside.
23. Swinging mellows her out - She could be running around like a wild woman, but throw her in a swing, and she's immediately centered. She defintely looks like she's having a Zen-like moment in the swing.

24. She has a teeth-brushing addiction - She loves to brush her teeth and not necessarily with only her toothbrush. Any toothbrush she can get her hands on goes immediately to brushing her teeth. So folks, if Daughter's coming over, lock up your dental supplies!

Tune in tomorrow for a post about Guardian Angels.

# 24 is the truth. I can always find my toothbrush in her room.
